Singles Parties, November 10 - 21, 2009

6 singles parties in the Bay Area over the past two weeks:
  • Veterans Holiday Mixer, Tuesday, Nov 10, at Swiss Louis at Pier 39 in San Francisco. Small turnout. Lovely venue, great calamari and other appetizers.
  • Men in Black Dance, Friday, Nov 13, at Tarragon in Sunnyvale. It was a LUCKY Friday the 13th for those who attended this fun party, according to Barbara Millin of Singles Supper Club, our co-sponsor. She reports a good crowd.
  • Sadie Hawkins Day Cougar Dance, Saturday, Nov 14, at Sinbad's in San Francisco. Good turnout. The women enjoyed being the initiators on this night, when the men were not allowed to say NO!
  • Jack London Square Mixer, Tuesday, Nov 17, at Kincaid's in Oakland. Fun party, great appetizers, lovely view.
  • November Night Delight Dance, Friday, Nov 20, at Grille 101 at Embassy Suites in San Rafael. Good turnout, fun party. Our next party at this lovely hotel will be our annual North Bay New Years Eve Bash!
  • Lock & Key Dinner Dance, Saturday, Nov 21, aboard The Sherman in Burlingame. Patrick of LockandKeyMatch.com and Ida ran this party, while Debby and I co-hosted the Arizona Cougar Convention. Patrick reports a very crowded dance and fun party.

We have two parties over the Holiday Weekend:

  • Thanksgiving Eve Mixer, Wednesday, Nov 25, at MacArthur Park in Palo Alto. This is a new location for us. We have done many parties at their sister locations in Danville and Pleasanton under the name of Faz, who is the owner.
  • Thanksgiving Dance, Saturday, Nov 28, at the Pleasanton Marriott. Co-sponsored with Beachcomber Singles. All of our past parties over the years have been well-attended at this nice hotel. Our annual Thanksgiving Dance has also been very successful in years past.

More info about all of our events at www.ThePartyHotline.com. See you at the parties!

There were way too many old men (over 40) at the Cougar party and the few young men were not only too young but very very OBVIOUSLY there thinking they could laid by some "desperate" old women. I was told as much by the men who tried to talk to me. One shouldn't practically preface a conversation with "I don't want to have a relationship but..." or "I have a tongue ring, do you like that?" Yes, I was told these things. Yikes!

All in all absurd and boring.
