Singles Parties, August 10 - 20, 2010

4 parties over the past two weeks:

• Silicon Valley Meets Silicon Beach, Tuesday, Aug 10, at Peachwood's at The Inn at Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz. Our return to Pasatiempo (10 years after our lat party at this wonderful location) featured a fun mixer game and delicious appetizers. Not a big crowd (Santa Cruz is a small town), but a very nice party. The San Jose Mercury News and Santa Cruz Sentinel published feature stories about this event!
• 5th Annual Baby Boomers Bash, Friday, Aug 17, at Shattuck Plaza Hotel in Berkeley. Nice turnout, great party.
• Singles Salsa Night, Thursday, Aug 19, at Cafe Cocomo in San Francisco. Our annual party at Northern California's largest salsa nightclub featured a good turnout, lots of new faces, excellent salsa dance lesson, pizza, a fun mixer game, and an 8 piece salsa band!
• Summer Ball, Friday, Aug 20, at David's Restaurant at the Santa Clara Golf & Tennis Club. Barbara Millin, of Singles Supper Club, who ran this party, reports a big crowd and popular dance lesson.

Next week features 3 more parties:

• East Bay Single Mingle, Tuesday, Aug 24, at Alborz in Walnut Creek. This is a new venue for us, hopefully a great turnout.
• Summer in the City Dance, Saturday, Aug 28, at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco. Our first party at this intriguing combination of an art gallery and a night club! Co-sponsored with Singles Supper Club.
• Wine Tasting & Dance, Saturday, Aug 28, at Redux, Walnut Creek's newest nightclub. Should be fun!
