Singles Parties, December 23-27, 2008

3 fun parties this past week, all well-attended.

• Christmas Mixer, Tuesday, Dec 23, at The Orinda House. Armen Boyd, founding member of Big Band Beat, delighted us with his tenor sax!
• Pre-New Years Lock & Key Dance, Friday, Dec 26, at the Concord Hilton. Some people were skeptical about singles coming out the night after Christmas for a party. Too bad, because we had a great crowd! DJ Slick Vic did his usual great job of spinning our favorite hits.
• Pre-New Years Dinner/Dance, Saturday, Dec 27, at Illusions in Palo Alto. What a terrific party! The huge dance floor was packed all night and I hear that dinner was delicious (I ate fast food in the car driving down from San Rafael and didn't have time to enjoy the Progressive Dinner at this wonderful restaurant/night club).

New Years Eve is the biggest party night of the year, so we have three singles dances, North Bay, East Bay, and SF Peninsula. Hopefully one of these is close to you. Parties include dancing to your favorite hits, plus party hats and favors, 9pm-1am.

• Pasta Pelican, 2455 Mariner Square Drive, Alameda. $20/door.
• Embassy Suites Hotel, Grille 101 Lounge, 101 McInnis Pkwy, San Rafael. $20/door.
• Cabana Resort Hotel Crowne Plaza, 4290 El Camino Real, Palo Alto. $39/door.

Next weekend we have two fun parties:

• Dance on the Bay, Friday, Jan 2, 8pm-12, aboard the SF Peninsula's only on-water restaurant, The Sherman, 410 Airport Blvd, Burlingame.
• New Years Lock & Key Dance, Saturday, Jan 3, 8pm-12, Sinbad's, Pier 2 along the Embarcadero, San Francisco.
