Singles Parties, November 7-8, 2008

Only two parties this past weekend:
  • Single Cowboys Dance, Friday, Nov 7, at The Rodeo Club in San Jose. This was the first Country/Western Dance we have done in several years. We picked the right venue! The Dancing Cowboy gave a couple of excellent dance lessons, followed by two live bands. This is a huge nightclub and a great place to party and meet new friends.
  • Blast From the Past, Saturday, Nov 8, at The Pleasanton Marriott. Quite a contrast to last night's party! This one featured the greatest hits of the 60s and 70s, spun by DJ Slick, who did a great job. Every song was a million-seller. The dance floor was packed all night. We definitely will repeat this theme again.

Next week features two more parties:

  • MidLife Singles Mixer, Tuesday, Nov 11, at the Walnut Creek Marriott. Annie Gleason of Get a Love Life will give a brief entertaining talk on "Decoding Dating Signals." Annie is the Dating Expert for The San Francisco Examiner. We also have appetizers at this fun party.
  • Sadie Hawkins Day Dance, Saturday, Nov 15, at Sinbad's in San Francisco. Sadie Hawkins Day only comes once a yea. Here's your chance to attend a party where the women can feel comfortable asking a man to dance, because the men are NOT allowed to say no.

More info about all the singles parties on our website at www.ThePartyHotline.com.

On a personal note, I will be the guest expert on Aging Outside the Box, an Internet Radio Show with author Shirley W. Mitchell, on Wednesday, Nov 12, 4pm PT.

See you at the parties!
