Singles Parties, June 8 - 16, 2012

I guess great weather results in great parties, as we had 3 fun, well-attended parties over the past two weekends.

The big one was our Let's Party Hawaiian Style, Friday, June 15, at Pure Lounge & Restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale. This party was for our Young Single Professionals (20s/30s/40s). Our most recent YSP parties have not done well, so we decided to go all out on this one! Hawaiian dancers, Singles Fashion Show, leis for everyone, etc. Thank you to Brandi, who runs several singles meetups and worked her tail off to make this a very special party! The nightclub was beautifully decorated (Hawaiian style, of course), plus Brandi organized Greeters to make everyone feel welcome. Huge crowd. Thank you also to Laura of Singles Supper Club and her brother Paul, who both worked hard to make this a great evening.

The following night we had our Summer in the City Dance at the Golden Gate Yacht Club in San Francisco. Big crowd, as always, with this wonderful venue. Beautiful sunset, clear views of the Golden Gate Bridge, The Bay, and The City. Couldn't have asked for more! It's great to have two big, successful parties over the same weekend.

The previous weekend we had a nice turnout for our Comedy & Dance Extravaganza, Friday, June 8, at David's Restaurant at Santa Clara Golf & Tennis Club. Thank you to Kevin Young and his 3 other comedians who presented an irreverent look at being single in 2012. Most entertaining, followed by a fun dance party!

• Art & Wine Tasting Party, Saturday, June 23, at Nieto Fine Art Gallery near Union Square in San Francisco. Always a big crowd at this lovely art gallery!
• Men in Black Dance, Friday, June 29, at the W Hotel in Newark. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones won't be attending, but it should be a lot of fun.
• Red White & Blue Bash, Friday, July 6, at Michael's at Shoreline Park in Mtn View.
• Madonna Dance & Look-Alike Contest, Lucky Friday the 13th of July, at Sinbad's in San Francisco. DJ Darryl K will play all of Madonna's great hits and videos, plus one look-alike will win a free berth on the Western Caribbean Singles Cruise, Dec 8-13! • Match Your Key Dance, Friday, July 20, at Servino's in Tiburon. Spectacular view of SF and The Bay!
• Singles Charity Ball, Saturday, July 28, at the Westin St Francis Hotel on Union Square in SF. 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to The Seva Foundation to restore sight to the blind, at an average cost of only $50 per surgery. We hope to raise $10,000, which will enable Seva to cure 200 people! We have a huge ballroom to fill (capacity of 600), so please spread the word to all of your friends.
