Singles Parties, September 11-22, 2007

I just returned from escorting 40 singles on a Singles Cruise from Istanbul to the Greek Isles and Athens. What a great itinerary! I had always heard about how wonderful this region of the world was, but had never had the chance to visit. I can highly recommend it! Our ship was not the most luxurious, but the beauty of the islands and the excellent tours made up for it. Our hotel in Istanbul was very nice, but the hotel in Athens was excellent--5 stars! A most memorable trip. Information on our many other upcoming singles cruises and tours are on www.SinglesTravelCompany.com.

The night before leaving for Greece & Turkey, I hosted a singles mixer on Tuesday, September 11 at Circa, a luxurious restaurant in the Marina District of SF. Excellent turnout, despite the fact that it was a Tuesday night! The food was also terrific.

While I was away, Barbara Millin of Singles Supper Club ran our Touch of Class Party at the San Mateo Marriott. Not as big of a crowd as normal because we were competing against the Stanford Bachelors party nearby on the same night.

Jim Spillane ran three parties in my absence, all celebrating National Singles Week, September 16-22. The Benicia party on Sept 19 wasn't as big as our last party at First St. Cafe, but was still well-attended. Jim reports that Bone Crushers, our Live Band on Sept 20 in Los Gatos, was terrific, and that there were many attractive new singles who attended.

The Grand Finale was the Lock & Key & Dance on Sept 22 at Sinbad's in SF, which was run by Jim and also by Patrick Dalal. Big turnout, plus Miguel Guidos of Startracks spun his usual magic to make the dancing go great.

This coming weekend we have three parties, beginning early on Thursday, Sept 27, with a Mid-Life Singles Mixer in Palo Alt0. Mason Grigsby, co-author of Love at Second Sight: Playing the Mid-Life Dating Game, is our Guest of Honor, plus we have appetizers first hour. Get a Love Life is co-sponsoring this party. They provide dating coaching exclusively for men over 50.

The next night (Friday) we focus on the younger set (late 20s to early 40s) with a White Out Party at The Vault Ultra Lounge in downtown San Jose. Everyone is encouraged to wear white. We have our party, just for our singles, from 7-9pm, with a fun Mixer Game, plus appetizers first hour. Our young single professionals are invited to stay later for the giant Dance Party that follows, which is open to the public, who will be paying $30 at the door. Our singles are only paying $10 for our 7-9pm party, which includes FREE admission to the Giant Dance Party, 9pm-3am, featuring a Fashion Show, 300 Jewelry Gift Cards valued at $50 each, plus 3 prizes of $500 each in jewelry. Helluva deal!

The Grand Finale is our Marin Singles Dance Party on Saturday night at Stars Ballroom in Novato, 8pm-12. Those who arrive on time will receive a FREE dance lesson, plus appetizers. Then we have a dance party featuring all kinds of music, plus the Bay Area's first-ever Singles Dance Championship. Quite an evening!
