Singles Parties, March 1-3, 2007

Virtually everyone who arrived the first half hour at our Asian/Non-Asian Mixer on Thursday, March 1st was a man! I admit I started to panic, but the women came later, so it turned out to be a very good party. Julia Ma of YourAsianConnection co-sponsored with us and led a fun Mixer Game. The Shitones performed live dance music. The food, as always at Park Chalet in SF, was terrific. The ratio was about half Asian, half non-Asian.

On Saturday we did our first-ever Men in Black Party at a new location for us, Tarragon Restaurant in Downtown Sunnyvale. We had the entire upstairs, which was spacious, with a large wooden dance floor. We packed it! Just about all the men came in black, with a few of us wearing dark sunglasses (tough to see anything with shades on!) Tarragon is a lovely location--hope we can schedule another party there soon.

We have 3 fun parties scheduled for this coming week, beginning with our first-ever Singles Mixer on the Delta on Tuesday, March 6, at Humphrey's Restaurant in Antioch. A lot of our singles come to our parties from East Contra Costa County, so we decided it was time we took the party to them!

We've done many Wine Tasting parties, but on Thursday, March 8 we are sponsoring our first ever combination Wine Tasting/Live Band Dance. The first two hours, 7-9pm, we have all the wines you can taste, from boutique wineries, accompanied by appetizers. Then The Joint Chiefs Band will entertain us with their great dance music. Our last party at Number One Broadway in Los Gatos attracted 250 singles, so we are hoping for another big crowd!

The week concludes with our annual Bay Area Flirting Convention on Friday at the San Mateo Marriott. Our keynote speaker, Susan Bradley, was interviewed on KRON Channel 4 this past Saturday, and also was featured in the SF Examiner. Hope you come early so you can hear her speak (she is most entertaining) and then enjoy the contest for the flirting championship of the Bay Area, followed by a giant dance party in the upstairs ballroom of the Marriott.

More details about these and many more parties at www.ThePartyHotline.com. See you at the parties!
