Singles Charity Ball & other events, March 21-24, 2007

The Singles Charity Ball on Saturday, March 24, was a tremendous success. We exceeded our ambitious goal of $10,000 for the Seva Foundation, for their sight program. We wound up raising over $11,000, which translates into curing over 200 blind people, at an average cost of only $50 per cataract surgery! All of us worked for free, including DJ HickeyB! of Choice Music, and the organizers of the leading singles organizations of the Bay Area.

It was a huge, enthusiastic crowd, and they partied hardy until midnight. Thank you to all of you who generously supported this great cause. If you were unable to attend, but would still like to help, please send in your donation to Seva by visiting their website at www.seva.org.

We produced three other singles events this past week. We started off on Wednesday, March 21, with a Retirement Planning for Singles Seminar. Thank you to Tom Pattinson, "the singles retirement guru," who presented the free seminar. If you were unable to attend, Tom is available for a FREE phone consultation at 883-1426 (area code 415).

On Thursday we hosted a Singles Mixer at Rafter's Grille in San Rafael. Everyone enjoyed the Mixer Game, Pizza, and Live Music by Mas Cabeza. Alas, not as big of a crowd as last year's party at Rafter's.

On Friday, we held our monthly TGIF for Young Single Professionals, this time at Arthur's Restaurant in Santa Clara. Thank you to Barbara Millin of Singles Supper Club, who hosted the party.

Next weekend we only have two parties. Our annual Novato Singles Mixer, on Thursday, March 29, will again be at the Hilltop Cafe, with a lovely view. Our first-ever Fremont Lock & Key Mixer will be at Massimo's Restaurant on Friday, March 30. Only $10/advance (or $15/door) includes a Light Dinner Buffet! More details at www.ThePartyHotline.com.

See you at the parties!

On behalf of the people we serve around the world, I would like to thank everyone who attend the Singles Charity Ball. All of us at Seva Foundation appreciate your support and the support of the leading Bay Area Singles Organizations. We are grateful to Rich Gosse, who planned and organized the Ball.
I had fun at the event, meet new supporters of Seva and we exceeded our goal. Thank you again. Your support will help restore sight to a blind person.
