Parties, October 23-27, 2007

The Weekend before Halloween always is a great time for parties. Our two Singles Halloween parties, in Sunnyvale and Alameda, both went well, with terrific costumes and excellent male-female balance! Congratulations to the many winners of our Costume Contests, who each won $750 worth of discounts to 52 of the finer restaurants of San Francisco.

I was up at the Greenhorn Creek Ranch in Plumas County escorting the Wild West Singles Weekend with Debby, Saturday and Sunday, Oct 27-28. Not a big crowd, but very congenial. What a beautiful site for a Dude Ranch! The horse back riding was a lot of fun and the food was terrific.

While I was up at Greenhorn, Jim Spillane ran our Halloween Party Saturday night at Pasta Pelican Restaurant in Alameda. For those of you who don't recognize the name, Jim is legendary in the history of singles, having been the Director of Treasure and running 1,000 parties in the Bay Area over a quarter of a century. He occasionally comes out of retirement (he quit doing his own parties after meeting his wonderful wife Celeste at a singles party) just to run our parties while I am out of town. Jim reports that the "Halloween party was great! The room was spectacular, second floor overlooking the Bay." Jim says four singles complained about the food running out early. "Folks loaded their plates," says Jim. Unfortunately some people don't understand the difference between appetizers and dinner.

Earlier in the week we did another Mid-Life Singles Party on Tuesday, Oct 23. Another big crowd, as with past Mid-Life Singles parties. Ron, the owner of The Orinda House, asked me to remind you that his restaurant has live music every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and hopes all of you singles will return on your own. I can personally testify that he serves excellent dinners!

Two parties coming up this weekend. Our last Lock & Key & Dance Party at the lovely Summitpointe Golf & Country Club in Milpitas was so much fun, we are repeating it on Friday, Nov 2. On Saturday night, Nov 3, we are hosting the Grand Opening Party for Singles at Sports Basement in Walnut Creek. Our Wine Tasting parties have been so successful at both Sports Basement stores in San Francisco, we are excited about christening their new store in the Contra Costa area! If you can't make this one, we are also doing a Wine Tasting Party at the Sunnyvale Sports Basement on Friday, November 16.

Details about all of our parties at www.ThePartyHotline.com. See you at the parties!
